Original vintage concert program for Duke Ellington’s November 1958 European tour, presented by Norman Granz in association with Horst Lippmann. The orchestra for the tour featured Ray Nance (trumpet/violin), Cat Anderson (trumpet), Johnny Hodges (alto), Harold Baker (trumpet), Clark Terry (trumpet), Quentin Jackson (trombone), Britt Woodman (trombone), John Sanders (trombone), Russell Procope (alto), Jimmy Hamilton (clarinet/tenor), Paul Gonsalves (tenor), Harry Carney (baritone), Jimmy Woode (bass), Sam Woodyard (drums), and Billy Strayhorn (piano). Original ticket stub for the concert at the Grugahalle in Essen on Monday, 10th November, laid in. Delicate program artwork and design by Hans Michel and Günther Kieser.

In original pictorial matte-coated wrappers, perfect bound, 27.2 x 25.7 cm, 28 pp. Trilingual edition with program notes in German, French and English. Light wear to spine and extremities and a faint paper clip mark to the back wrapper, else near fine, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
