Empress Hall, London May 1956 concert ticket

Original large used concert ticket for Louis Armstrong’s performance at the Empress Hall in London [England] on Saturday, 5th May, 1956, presented by Lee Gordon and Benn Reyes. The ticket is for the afternoon show commencing at 6.15 p.m. The concert was part of Satchmo’s first visit to Britain with an All Star ensemble that featured trombonist Trummy Young, pianist Billy Kyle, clarinetist Edmond Hall, drummer Barrett Deems, double-bassist Jack Lesberg, and singer Velma Middleton.
