Fairfield Hall, Croydon November 1967 concert flyer

Original first printing concert flyer advertising American tenor saxophonist Stan Getz (1927–1991) at the Fairfield Hall in Croydon [England] on Thursday, 23rd November, 1967, accompanied by bassist Walter Booker, pianist Armando “Chick” Corea, and drummer Roy Haynes. By this time the album Sweet Rain had just been released on the Verve label. Produced by Creed Taylor, it is arguably one of Getz’s all-time greatest albums and his first major artistic coup after he closed the book on his bossa nova period. Of the personnel on the album, only Chick Corea was part of the touring band, while Ron Carter and Grady Tate were replaced by Booker and Haynes.

The flyer measures 15.6 x 23.2 cm and is beautifully printed in orange and black inks on thin, coated paper stock. Complete with the original postal booking form still intact. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the flyer available on request.
