1975 Japanese Asylum/Warner-Pioneer Corporation promotional poster for “American Rock”
Large original first printing Eagles promotional poster issued by Asylum/Warner-Pioneer Corporation in Japan in 1975 to promote the release of the American Rock sampler album, featuring, besides Eagles, Orleans, America, Grateful Dead, Doobie Brothers, the J. Geils Band, Little Feat, the Souther-Hillman-Furay Band, and Montrose. Eagles have two tracks on the album, namely “Take It Easy” and “One of These Nights” from Eagles (1972) and One of These Nights (1975), respectively. Warner-Pioneer Corporation started its distribution of the Asylum Records catalog in 1972, along with other labels owned by WEA, such as Atlantic Records, Reprise Records, and Elektra Records. The poster was promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
