1977 Japanese Denon Jazz promo poster for “Love on the Sudan”

Original first printing Billy Harper promotional poster issued by Denon Jazz in Japan in 1977 to promote the release of Love on the Sudan  – an album recorded in June 1977 at A&R Recording Studio, New York City, and produced by Yoshio Ozawa. On the album, Harper was accompanied by bassist Gregg Maker, drummer Malcolm Pinson, pianist Mickey Tucker, and trumpeter Everett Hollins. Issued as a Japan only release in 1977. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.

The poster measures 51.3 x 72.6 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed in dark blue ink on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition.
