1979 Japanese Capitol Records/Toshiba EMI promo poster for “Three Hearts”

Original first printing Bob Welch (1945–2012) promotional poster issued by Capitol Records/Toshiba EMI in Japan in 1979 to promote the Three Hearts album –  his second solo album, produced by John Carter and Richard Dashut, and originally released in February 1979 on Capitol Records. Containing the hit singles “Precious Love” and “Church”, the album was a commercial success. It reached #20 on the Billboard 200, and stayed 5 weeks on the chart. It was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales exceeding 500,000 copies in the US alone. The song “Don’t Wait Too Long” is a reworking of “Good Things (Come to Those Who Wait)”, a Welch composition that had been left off the Fleetwood Mac album Mystery to Me (1973). The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.

The poster measures 51.4 x 72.7 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
