Amsterdam & The Hague, The Netherlands October 1954 concert program
Original vintage concert program for American jazz singer Sarah Vaughan’s two performances in Amsterdam and The Hague on 9th October, 1954, with jazz tenor saxophonists Coleman Hawkins (1904–1969) and Illinois Jacquet (1922–2004) also on the bill. This was the package tour Charlie Parker was supposed to be part of had it not been for his suicide attempt the previous month. Coleman Hawkins was called in as a replacement for Bird.
One sheet folded into four pages, 18.2 x 26.3 cm. All text in Dutch. Folded twice with wear along the fold lines and a number of markings in red and pencil inside. Additional photos available on request.
