Radstadion Friesenheim, Ludwigshafen September 1975 concert poster

Original first printing vintage concert poster advertising “The Open Air Festival 1975” staged at the Radstadion Friesenheim in Ludwigshafen [Germany] on Saturday, 6th September, 1975, presented by MAMA Concerts in cooperation with Lippmann+Rau. Performing artists included Alice Cooper, Status Quo, Leslie West, Supertramp, Randy Pie, UFO, Baker Gurvitz Army, Snafu, and Streetwalkers. By this time, Alice Cooper had just released his solo debut album, Welcome to My Nightmare, a concept album about the nightmares of a young child called Steven. Recorded in Toronto and New York and produced by Bob Ezrin, the album was released on 11th March, 1975, by Atlantic Records. Containing the singles “Only Women Bleed”, “Department of Youth” and “Welcome To My Nightmare”, the album was greeted with both critical acclaim as well as commercial success, and peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200.

The poster measures 83.8 x 59.0 cm (approx. 33″ by 23.2″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
