Circus Krone, Munich October 1978 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising English rock group The Kinks at the Circus Krone in Munich [Germany] on Wednesday, 25th October, 1978, in support of the Misfits album — the band’s sixteenth studio album, produced by Ray Davies and released on 19th May, 1978. It was the second album the band recorded for Arista Records, the record company the band switched to from RCA Records in 1976. Following the minor success of Sleepwalker in the United States, Misfits featured a more rock-oriented style than many other Kinks records of the 1970s. Despite internal conflicts within the band, leading to both bassist Andy Pyle and pianist John Gosling quitting the band, the album, containing the singles “A Rock’n’Roll Fantasy”, “Live Life”, and “Black Messiah”, reached the Top 40 in America.

The poster measures 59.4 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.4″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In near excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
