Philipshalle, Düsseldorf October 1974 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising The Big Show ’74 at the Philipshalle in Düsseldorf [Germany] on Tuesday, 1st October, 1974, presented by Lippmann+Rau in cooperation with René Heinersdorff. Performing artists included jazz giants Big Joe Turner, Count Basie, and Oscar Peterson. For the tour Peterson was accompanied by the great Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen. The poster also promotes Count Basie and Big Joe Turner’s The Bosses and Oscar Peterson’s The Trio, both realeased in 1974 on Pablo Records.
The poster measures 59.8 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.5″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent condition, unfolded and clean.
