Ernst-Merck-Halle, Hamburg December 1976 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American rock group Santana at the Ernst-Merck-Halle in Hamburg [Germany] on Friday, 10th December, 1976, in support of the Festivál album, and with Journey as special guests. Like its predecessor, Amigos, Festivál was also produced by David Rubinson, and although it went gold, the lack of a hit single hurt the album’s commercial standing, peaking at #27 on the Billboard 200, the lowest yet for a Santana album. By this time Carlos Santana was the only remaining member of the original line-up.
The poster measures 61.0 x 83.7 cm (approx. 24″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. There is a very faint horizontal fold to the middle and a small rip to the lower left side border, else in remarkably near excellent condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
