Musikhalle, Hamburg March 1976 concert poster (Kieser)

Original first printing concert poster advertising Chick Corea’s jazz fusion group Return to Forever at the Musikhalle in Hamburg [Germany] on Tuesday, 23rd March, 1976, in support of the Romantic Warrior album – their sixth studio album, recorded at Caribou Ranch in Colorado and produced by Chick Corea. After leaving Polydor the previous year, Romantic Warrior was the group’s first album made for Columbia Records. Arguably more avant-garde and less funky than the band’s previous album, No Mystery, the album is the band’s best-selling record, reaching eventual sales of 500,000 copies. The poster features striking artwork by Günther Kieser with his imprint to the center of the right side border.

The poster measures 59.6 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.4″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed in black ink on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. There is a tiny rip to the center of the bottom border, else in excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
