Ostseehalle, Kiel July 1970 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising the Progressiv Pop Festival staged at the Ostseehalle in Kiel [Germany] on 4th & 5th July, 1970, headlined by Black Sabbath with Hardin & York, Groundhogs, Frumpy, Sphinx Tush, Tomorrows Gift, and Beatique in Corporation also on the bill. By this time Black Sabbath had been busy at Regent Sound Studios and Island Studios in London recording the Paranoid album. Produced by Rodger Bain, the album wasn’t released until September 1970. Very unusual for Black Sabbath to headline a festival this early in their career.

The poster measures 59.0 x 83.6 cm (approx. 23.2″ by 32.9″ inches) is beautifully printed in black ink on thin smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In near excellent unfolded condition.
