Hammersmith Odeon, London April 1982 concert program
Original vintage concert program produced for Miles Davis’ three concerts at the Hammersmith Odeon in London from 20th to 22nd April, 1982, in support of We Want Miles, a double live album recorded in 1981, produced by Teo Macero and released in May 1982 to coincide with the European tour, his first since 1973. Miles’ band for the tour featured Bill Evans (ss, ts, fl, el-p); Mike Stern (g); Marcus Miller (el-b); Al Foster (d); and Mino Cinelu (perc).The concert on 20th April was filmed and recorded and is available on DVD. The program has been authentically signed by Miles in green immediately above his trumpet on page 3.
In original pictorial coated wrappers, staple bound, 21.0 x 29.7 cm, 16 pp. In excellent unmarked condition, tightly bound and clean. Program notes by Ian Carr. Additional images of the program available on request.
