1993 Japanese Epic/Sony Records promo poster for “Hat Full of Stars”
Original first printing Cyndi Lauper promotional poster issued by Epic/Sony Records in Japan in 1993 to promote the release of the Hat Full of Stars album – Lauper’s fourth studio album, produced by Junior Vasquez, and originally released on 22nd June, 1993 on Epic Records. Although the album received favorable reviews it was poorly received by the public, peaking at a lowly #112 on the Billboard 200. The album fared better overseas, becoming most successful in Japan and France, achieving a Gold certification in both countries. In Japan, the album spent a total of seven weeks on the albums chart, peaking at #15. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 51.3 x 72.8 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock.
