May/June 1959 European concert tour program (Michel+Kieser)
Original vintage concert program for Gene Krupa, Gerry Mulligan and Jimmy Giuffre’s joint May/June 1959 European tour, presented by German impresario Horst Lippmann in association with Norman Granz. Mulligan’s quartet consisted of trumpeter Art Farmer, drummer Dave Bailey and bassist Bill Crow, while guitarist Jim Hall and bassist Buddy Clark were with Giuffre. Krupa’s group included saxophonist Eddie Wasserman, pianist Ronnie Ball and bassist Jimmy Gannon. The program features striking artwork by noted graphic duo, Hans Michel and Günther Kieser.
In original pictorial coated wrappers, perfect bound, 27.8 x 25.5 cm, 20 pp. Trilingual edition with text in German, English and French. Light wear to spine and extremities, else in excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
