Casino, Middelkerke July 1966 concert program

Original vintage concert program produced for the “Jazz Jamboree 1966” staged at the Casino in Middelkerke [Belgium] from 15th to 17th July, 1966, presented by the Officieel Festcomité van Middelkerke. Performing artists during the 3-day festival included trumpeter Ted Curson, jump blues singer Jimmy Witherspoon, blues pianist Eddie Boyd, jazz reed player Albert Nicholas, jazz singer Abbey Lincoln, the Al Jones Trio, and the Paul Bley Trio. Besides the leader himself, Bley’s trio at the time featured bassist Mark Levinson and drummer Barry Altschul. With this line-up Bley had just recorded the Ramblin’ album in Rome, produced by Jean Georgakarakos and Jean-Luc Young and released on the French BYG Actuel label.

In original typographic textured wrappers, single staple bound, 13.8 x 21.4 cm, 12 pp. All text in Dutch. In excellent condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional images of the program available on request.
