Free Trade Hall, Manchester May 1959 concert program

Original vintage concert program produced for Norman Granz’ Jazz At The Philharmonic at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester [England] on Saturday, 9th May, 1959, presented by Harold Davison. The concert in Manchester was part of the second JATP nationwide tour of Great Britain. Performing artists included Ella Fitzgerald, the Oscar Peterson Trio, saxophonist Sonny Stitt, the Gene Krupa Quartet, and trumpeter Roy Eldridge. The program features delicate artwork by American artist David Stone Martin.

In original red and black illustrated uncoated wrappers, staple bound, 20.9 x 26.6 cm, 20 pp. Program notes by Benny Green. In near excellent complete condition with a couple of glue marks to the top of p. 4. Else tightly bound and clean. Additional images of the program available on request.
