Grugahalle, Essen March 1989 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz and R&B singer Al Jarreau (1940–2017) at the Grugahalle in Essen [Germany] on Wednesday, 8th March, 1989, presented by Lippmann+Rau and MAMA Concerts. Jarreau was touring Europe in support of the Heart’s Horizon album – his ninth studio album, produced by George Duke, Jay Grandon and Philippe Saisse, and released on 15th November, 1988 by Reprise Records. The song “Killer Love” was intended to be used in the film  Skin Deep, but was omitted at the last minute. The album peaked at #75 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales over 500,000 units.

The poster measures 59.4 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.4″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin coated paper stock.
