Large original first printing concert poster advertising Australian rock group INXS at the Deutschlandhalle in Berlin [Germany] on 2nd July, 1991, presented by peter Rieger, and with German pop group The Jeremy Days as special guests. INXS were touring in support of the X album, their seventh studio album, produced by Chris Thomas, and released in September 1990 on Atlantic Records in the US and on Mercury Records in Europe. X was the third consecutive INXS album produced by Chris Thomas. The title, the Roman numeral for “10”, represents the band’s tenth year since their debut album was released in 1980. X features a sample of blues-harp player Charlie Musselwhite on “Suicide Blonde”, and Musselwhite himself playing on “Who Pays the Price” and “On My Way”. Containing the hit singles “Suicide Blonde” and “Disappear”, the album was a commercial success and peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200, and stayed on the chart for 43 weeks. It was certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) in December 1997 for sales exceeding 2,000,000 copies in the US alone.
