Stadthalle, Offenbach March 1978 concert poster

Large original first printing concert poster advertising American blues rock group Hot Tuna at the Stadthalle in Offenbach [Germany] on Tuesday, 14th March, 1978, in support of the Double Dose live album, the band’s eighth album, and their third live album. Recorded at the Theatre 1839 in San Francisco on 5th and 6th August, 1977, the album was produced by Felix Pappalardi, and released on 13th March, 1978 to coincide with the European tour. Although posters and tickets were already printed, the entire European tour, however, had to be cancelled due to emergent tensions between Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady. Kaukonen moved on to a solo career, while Casady joined the new wave band SVT. Hot Tuna would not perform together again until 1983.

The poster measures 84.0 x 58.7 cm (approx. 33.1″ by 23.1″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Folded vertically at the middle, else in remarkably near excellent condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
