Maison de la Culture, Brussels October 1977 concert poster
Original first printing vintage concert poster advertising the Dizzy Gillespie Quintet at the Maison de la Culture in Brussels [Belgium] on Thursday, 13th October, 1977. Besides the leader himself, the quintet featured tenor saxophonist Johnny Griffin, Dutch pianist Cees Slinger, bassist Bert Thompson, and drummer Otis Ray Appleton. Other stops on this tour included concerts in Vienna and Paris.
The poster measures 59.8 x 82.8 cm and is printed in purple ink on thin, coated paper stock. A few tiny rips and light edge wear to the left side border, else in excellent unfolded condition.
