Circus Krone, Munich April 1981 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American singer, songwriter and pianist Ray Charles (1930–2004) at the famous Circus Krone in Munich [Germany] on Wednesday, 29th April, 1981, presented by Pater Walter and Ulrich Gerhartz’s Konzertmanagemnt Kiel. Charles was touring Europe with the Raeletts and the Ray Charles Orchestra in support of the Brother Ray Is At It Again album, recorded at RPM Studios in Los Angeles and produced by Ray Charles himself. Released in March 1980, the album was the final in a four-LP run on his old label Atlantic, who’d welcomed him back with open arms in 1977.
The poster measures 59.2 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock.
