March/April 1983 UK concert tour program

Large original concert program produced for American drummer and band leader Buddy Rich’s nationwide tour of Great Britain during March and April 1983, in support of the Rich and Famous album, produced by Alan Kaufman and John La Barbera, and released in 1983 by Amway. Presented by Brian Theobald, the tour commenced with three shows at Ronnie Scott’s Club in London on 24th, 25th and 26th March and ended with two shows at the same venue on 15th and 16th April, 1983. The orchestra for the tour featured Steve Marcus, Andy Fusco, Chuck Wilson, Jerrold Vejmola, Keith Bishop (saxophones); Doug Clark, Richard Vitale, Jeff Folkens, Dana Watson (trumpets); Savid Paniche, Michael Davis, George Gesslein (trombones); Le Musiker (piano); and Rock Ciccarone (bass).

In original pictorial matte-coated wrappers, staple bound, 24.1 x 33.1 cm, 16 pp. Program notes by Ray Coleman. Light creasing to the top center, else in excellent complete condition, tightly bound and clean. Additional images of the program available on request.
