Rudi-Sedlmayer-Halle, Munich May 1982 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American rock band Blue Öyster Cult at the Rudi-Sedlmayer-Halle in Munich [Germany] on Wednesday, 19th May, 1982, presented by Sunrise Concertbüro in cooperation with Kipka Management, and with American Southern rock band Molly Hatchet as special guests. The concert in Munich was the first stop on an eight-date German tour in support of the Extraterrestrial Live album, the band’s third live album, produced by Sandy Pearlman, and released in April 1982 on Columbia Records. The album primarily documents the band’s 1981 tour in support of Fire of Unknown Origin, but also includes two tracks recorded in 1980, during the Black and Blue tour with Black Sabbath. Midway through the 1981 tour, the band fired drummer and founding member Albert Bouchard, replacing him with roadie Rick Downey. Containing the single “Roadhouse Blues”, featuring Robby Krieger on guitar, the album was a commercial success, peaking at #29 on the Billboard 200. Although posters and tickets were already printed, the entire German tour had to be canceled due to a health issue with a member of Molly Hatchet.

The poster measures 59.3 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In remarkably near excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
