Free Trade Hall, Manchester September 1966 concert program

Original vintage concert program produced for the “American Folk Blues Festival” at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester [England] on Thursday, 29th September, 1966. Performing artists that year included Sleepy John Estes, Otis Rush, Sippie Wallace, Roosevelt Sykes, Little Brother Montgomery, Yank Rachell, Junior Wells, Freddie Below, Robert Pete Williams, and Big Joe Turner. A criticism of the AFBF in previous years had been that their duration was too short to allow each artist more than three numbers, but by 1966 the concert would last almost three hours, instad of the usual two.

Original b/w typographical uncoated two-fold brochure, 19.0 x 22.7 cm. Program notes by Chris Lee. The program has been folded twice horizontally and there’s a paper clip mark to the center of the top border. Additional images of the program available on request.
