Kongresshalle, Frankfurt October 1972 concert poster (Kieser)

Original first printing concert poster advertising Greek songwriter and composer Mikis Theodorakis at the Kongresshalle in Frankfurt [Germany] on Friday, 20th October, 1972, presented by Lippmann+Rau. This concert took place during his exile, and for millions of people, Theodorakis was the very symbol of resistance against the Greek dictatorship. The poster features dramatic artwork by Günther Kieser, with his imprint to the upper right side border. A very uncommon early 1970s Kieser poster.

The poster measures 59.8 x 83.7 cm (approx. 23.5″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. A few tiny pin holes to the corners, else in remarkably near excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
