Early 1970s Japanese Apple Records promo poster
Large original first printing The Beatles promotional poster issued by Apple Records in Japan in the early 1970s. Apple Records was manufactured in Japan by Toshiba Musical Industries. Toshiba Musical Industries, the publisher of EMI in Japan (Toshiba EMI), divided classical music into “Angel Records” and popular music into “Odeon Records” in January 1963. The poster features a photo of the group at the Warwick Hotel, New York City, on 16th August, 1965. They held a press conference and received visitors including Bob Dylan, The Supremes, The Ronettes, Del Shannon and The Exciters. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
