Late 1970s Japanese Odeon/Toshiba EMI promotional poster
Original first printing The Beatles promotional poster issued by Odeon/Toshiba EMI in Japan in the late 1970s. Toshiba Musical Industries, the publisher of EMI in Japan (Toshiba EMI), divided classical music into “Angel Records” and popular music into “Odeon Records” in January 1963. The photo on the poster can probably be dated back to early 1967 when they were all wearing a mustache. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 51.4 x 73.0 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.7″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
