1985 Japanese Grunt Records promo poster for “Knee Deep in the Hoopla”
Original first printing Starship promotional poster issued by Grunt Records in Japan in 1985 to promote the release of the Knee Deep in the Hoopla album – the band’s debut album, produced by Peter Wolf, and released on 10th September, 1985. Containing the #1 hit singles “We Built This City” and “Sara”, the album peaked at #7 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales over 1,000,000 certified units. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
