1987 Japanese CBS/Sony Inc. promo poster for “Tunnel of Love”
Original first printing Bruce Springsteen promotional poster issued by CBS/Sony Inc. in Japan in 1987 to promote the release of the Tunnel of Love album – his eighth studio album, produced by Springsteen himself with Jon Landau and Chuck Plotkin, and released on 9th October, 1987. Containing the singles “Brilliant Disguise”, “Tunnel of Love”, “One Step Up”, “Tougher Than the Rest”, and “Spare Parts”, the album reached #1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA for selling over 3,000,000 units. In 1989, the album was ranked #25 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “100 Best Albums of the Eighties”. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 59.3 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition with a minimal of foxing to the top.
