October/November 1980 German tour blank concert poster

Original first printing concert poster designed to promote American singer-songwriter Paul Simon’s nationwide tour of Germany tour during October and November 1980, in support of the One Trick Pony album – his fifth solo studio album, produced by Phil Ramone, and released on 12th August, 1980 on Warner Bros. Records. It was Simon’s first album for Warner Bros, and his first new studio album since Still Crazy After All These Years (1975). Containg the hit singles “Late in the Evening” and “One-Trick Pony”, the album peaked at #12 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA for sales over 500,000 units. Simon’s touring band for the tour featured guitarist Eric Gale, pianist Richard Tee, bassist Tony Levin, and drummer Steve Gadd.
