1982 Japanese Asylum/Warner-Pioneer Corporation promotional poster for “Get Closer”
Large original first printing Linda Ronstadt promotional poster issued by Asylum/Warner-Pioneer in Japan in 1982 to promote the release of the Get Closer album – her eleventh studio album, produced by Peter Asher, and originally released in September 1982 on Asylum Records. Containing the singles “Get Closer”, “I Knew You When”, and “Easy for You to Say”, the album peaked at #31 on the Billboard 200 and was her first albumto fail to make the top 5 since 1973. It stayed on the charts for 28 weeks and was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales exceeding 500,000 copies in the US alone. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
