Städtischer Saalbau, Essen May 1964 concert poster (Günther Kieser)

Original first printing concert poster advertising Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson at the Städtischer Saalbau in Essen [Germany] on Wednesday, 13th May, 1964, accompanied by bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen. Striking artwork by noted graphic duo, Hans Michel and Günther Kieser, with their imprint to the bottom left corner.

The poster measures 59.2 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed in black ink on thin, smooth-finish paper stock. The poster has been neatly folded with a couple of small rips to the bottom border and light age toning along the fold lines.
