Welfare Pension Hall & Shibuya Public Hall, Tokyo September 1970 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American folk group Peter, Paul & Mary at the Welfare Pension Hall and the Shibuya Public Hall in Tokyo [Japan] on Friday, 4th September and Sunday, 6th September, 1970, respectively. Presented by Kyodo Tokyo, the trio was touring Japan in support of The Best of Peter, Paul, and Mary: Ten Years Together – a compilation album, produced by Albert B. Grossman and Milton Okun, and released on the Warner Bros. label. Due to the trio’s 1970 breakup, this would be their last album together until 1978’s Reunion album. The poster features striking artwork credited to Yossy Inomata, with the artist’s imprint to the bottom left corner.

The poster measures 51.4 x 72.6 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed on medium-thin uncoated paper stock. There is a tape mark to each corner, else in excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
