Congresgebouw, The Hague October 1975 concert poster

Large original first printing concert poster advertising the Pablo Jazz Festival staged at the Congresgebouw in The Hague [Holland] on Saturday, 4th October, 1975, presented by the Paul Acket Agency in cooperation with Mojo. Performing artists included Ella Fitzgerald accompanied by the Tommy Flanagan Trio, Count Basie, Ray Brown, Louie Bellson, Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis, Roy Eldridge, Dizzy Gillespie, Milt Jackson, Joe Pass, Oscar Peterson, Zoot Sims, and Clark Terry. Pablo Records was a record label founded by Norman Granz in 1973, roughly a decade after he had sold his jazz labels to MGM Records. Pablo initially featured recordings by acts that Granz managed: Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson and Joe Pass. Later, recordings by Count Basie, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie and Sarah Vaughan were added. In 1987 the label was acquired by Fantasy Records.

The poster measures 84.1 x 118.5 cm (approx. 33.1″ by 46.7″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, light coated paper stock. The poster has been neatly folded, else in near excellent condition. Additional photos available on request.
