October/November 1960 European concert tour program (Michel+Kieser)

Original vintage concert program for Gerry Mulligan and the Concert Jazz Big Band’s October/November 1960 European tour, presented by Norman Granz in association with Horst Lippmann. The orchestra for the tour included soloists Zoot Sims, Bob Brookmeyer, and Conte Candoli, as well as Buddy Clark (bass), Mel Lewis (drums), Nick Travis (trumpet), Don Ferrara (trumpet), Gene Quill (clarinet/alto sax), Bob Donovan (alto sax), Jim Reader (tenor sax), Willie Dennis (trombone), Alan Raph (bass trombone), and Gene Allen (baritone sax). Original ticket stub for the concert at the Rheinhalle in Düsseldorf on Tuesday, 8th November, laid in. Program artwork and design by Hans Michel and Günther Kieser.

In original blue and black pictorial coated wrappers, perfect bound, 27.5 x 25.1 cm, 22 pp. Bilingual edition with program notes in German and English. Light wear to spine and extremities and a paper clip mark to the back wrapper, else near fine, tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
