Sankei Concert Hall, Tokyo January 1971 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising American double bassist, pianist, composer and bandleader Charles Mingus (1922–1979) at the Sankei Concert Hall in Tokyo [Japan] on 3rd, 7th & 9th January, 1971, accomanied by trumpeter Eddie Preston, tenor saxophonist Bobby Jones, and pianist Masahiko Sato, and presented by All Art Promotion. It was on this tour the Charles Mingus with Orchestra album was recorded. Never seen another one of these.
The poster measures 51.3 x 72.7 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.6″ inches) and is beautifully printed in red, blue, and black inks on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
