October 1975 German tour blank concert poster (Kieser)

Original first printing concert poster designed to promote legendary English blues singer, guitarist, and organist John Mayall’s October 1975 German tour, presented by Lippmann+Rau. Mayall was touring in support of the New Year, New Band, New Company album, recorded at Angel City Sound in Hollywood and produced by Mayall himself, and released in March 1975 by ABC Records. As the title suggests, Mayall was now recording for a new record company, with 1974’s The Latest Edition being his last on Polydor. His new band featured singer Dee McKinnie, violinist Sugarcane Harris, bassist Larry Taylor, guitarist Rick Vito, drummer Soko Richardson, and pianist Jay Spell. The poster features uncredited artwork by Günther Kieser.

The poster measures 59.8 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23.5″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
