Jahrhunderthalle, Frankfurt May 1972 concert poster (Kieser)

Original first printing concert poster advertising English blues singer, guitarist, organist and songwriter John Mayall at the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt [Germany] on Tuesday, 2nd May, 1972, presented by Lippmann+Rau. Mayall was touring in support of the Jazz Blues Fusion album — a live album recorded in Boston and New York in November and December 1971. Produced by Mayall himself, the album was released in May 1972 by Polydor Records. Jazz Blues Fusion reached #64 on the Billboard 200. Mayall’s band for the tour featured guitarist Freddie Robinson, bassist Victor Gaskin, alto and tenor saxophonist Clifford Solomon, drummer Keef Hartley, and trumpeter Blue Mitchell. The poster features uncredited artwork by Günther Kieser.

The poster measures 58.4 x 83.8 cm (approx. 23″ x 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed in black ink on thin smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition.
