Laeiszhalle, Hamburg May 2009 concert poster
Original first printing concert poster advertising the Branford Marsalis Quartet at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg [Germany] on Sunday, 17th May, 2009, presented by Karsten Jahnke. Besides the leader, the quartet featured pianist Joey Calderazzo, bassist Eric Revis, and drummer Jeff “Tain” Watts. The show in Hamburg was part of the quartet’s Spring 2009 European tour in support of the critically acclaimed Metamorphosen (German for “metamorphoses”) album. Recorded at the Hayti Heritage Center in Durnham, North Carolina, and produced by Marsalis himself, the album was released in March 2009.
The poster measures 59.3 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is printed on thin, dull-coated paper stock. There is a tiny pin hole to each corner, else in excellent unfolded condition.
