Second and third printings with identical cover artwork were published in 1961 and 1963. Printed by Bosch, Utrecht. Unknown number of copies issued July 1961. Dust jacket artwork credited to Karel Beunis.

Considered a defining work of the postwar beat and counter culture generations, On the Road was originally published by Viking Press on 5th September, 1957. The novel was chosen by Time magazine as one of the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to 2005, and the Modern Library ranked the book 55th on its list of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century.

Crown octavo (8vo), 296 pp. In original stiff illustrated gloss-coated wrappers. The entire outside wrapper has a film laminate, which is subject to peeling. Slightly faded with light wear to spine and extremities, reading creases to spine. Additional photos available on request.
