Pavillon de Paris, Paris January 1979 concert poster
Small original first printing concert poster advertising Un Festival de Guitars Acoustiques at the Pavillon de Paris in Paris [France] on Sunday, 28th January, 1979, featuring virtuoso guitarists John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell, and Paco de Lucia. Formed in 1979, the trio toured Europe briefly, releasing a video recorded at Royal Albert Hall in London entitled Meeting of Spirits. In early 1980, Coryell’s drug addiction led to his being replaced by Al Di Meola.
The poster measures 17.5 x 26.6 cm (approx. 6.9″ by 10.5″ inches) and is beautifully printed in purple and green inks on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Additional photos available on request.
