1993 Japanese Sony Music promo poster for “River of Dreams”
Original first printing Billy Joel promotional poster issued by Sony Records in Japan in 1993 to promote the release of the River of Dreams album — his twelfth studio album, produced by Joel himself with Danny Kortchmar, Joe Nicolo, and David Thoener, and released on 10th August, 1993 on Columbia Records. River of Dreams presented a more serious tone than found in Joel’s previous albums, dealing with issues such as trust and long-lasting love. Containing the singles “The River of Dreams”, “All About Soul”, “No Man’s Land”, and “Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)”, the album reached #1 on the Billboard 200. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 51.3 x 72.6 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.5″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In remarkably near excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
