Royal Festival Hall/Hammersmith Odeon October 1967 concert program 


Original vintage program book for the Jazz Expo ’67 event which took place at the Royal Festival Hall in London and at the Odeon Theatre in Hammersmith from 21st to 29th October, 1967. Billed as “The Newport Jazz Festival in Britain” and presented by Harold Davison, George Wein and Jack Higgins, the performing artists included Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Buddy Guy, Gary Burton, Sarah Vaughan, Thelonious Monk, Clark Terry, Herbie Mann, Keith Jarrett, Roland Kirk, Teddy Wilson, Ben Webster, Max Roach, Dave Brubeck, the entire American Folk Blues Festival entourage, and many more.

In original orange and black pictorial wrappers, staple bound, 20.9 x 25.7 cm, 40 pp. Program notes by Benny Green. Wrappers slightly rubbed with light wear to spine and extremities, else tightly bound and clean. Additional photos available on request.
