ICC, Berlin May 1983 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz and R&B singer Al Jarreau (1940–2017) at the Internationales Congress Centrum in Berlin [Germany] on Saturday, 21st May, 1983, presented by Fritz Rau and Hermjo Klein in cooperation with Concert Concept Berlin. The concert in Berlin was part of Jarreau’s Spring 1983 European tour in support of the Jarreau album – his sixth studio album, produced by Jay Graydon, and released on 28th March, 1983 by Warner Bros. Records. Featuring the hit singles “Mornin'”, “Boogie Down”, and “Trouble in Paradise”, the album was his third consecutive #1 album on the Billboard Jazz charts, while also placing at #4 on the R&B album charts and #13 on the Billboard 200. In 1984 the album received four Grammy Award nominations, and was later certified Platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales over 1,000,000 units.
