1972 Japanese Probe Records promo poster for “Live in Concert”
Large original first printing James Gang promotional poster issued by Probe Records in Japan in 1972 to promote the release of Live in Concert – a live album containing highlights of a performance at Carnegie Hall, New York City, on 15th May, 1971. Produced by Bill Szymczyk and released in September 1971, it was the last James Gang album to feature guitarist Joe Walsh. The album peaked at #24 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales over 500,000 certified units in June 1972. For what it’s worth, the Probe Records catalog was manufactured in Japan by Toshiba Music Industries. The poster was for promotional purposes only, and was never made commercially available.
The poster measures 51.4 x 72.5 cm (approx. 20.2″ by 28.5″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition. Feel free to email us with any questions you may have concerning this item. Additional images of the poster available on request.
