Description

Concertgebouw, Amsterdam November 1957 concert program

Original vintage concert program for the Jack Teagarden—Earl Hines All Stars’ performance at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam [Holland] on Saturday, 9th November, 1957, presented by Lou van Rees. Billed as “The New Dream Jazz Sextet”, Teagarden and Hines were accompanied by Cozy Cole (drums), Max Kaminsky (trumpet), Peanuts Hucko (clarinet), and Jack Lesberg (bass). Interestingly, every musician, with the obvious exception of Max Kaminsky, had previously been a member of Louis Armstrong’s All Stars. At least two concerts from this tour were recorded (Manchester and Paris) and were eventually released.

One sheet folded into four pages, 18.4 x 25.5 cm. All text in Dutch. In near excellent unfolded and unmarked condition. Additional photos available on request.
