Fairfield Hall, Croydon June 1970 concert flyer
Large original first printing concert flyer advertising English folk rock singer, songwriter and guitarist Roy Harper at the Fairfield Hall in Croydon [England] on Wednesday, 3rd June, 1970, in support of Flat Baroque and Beserk — his fourth album, produced by Peter Jenner and released on 15th June, 1970 on Harvest Records. Peaking at #20 in the UK album chart, Flat Baroque and Berserk was the first of Harper’s recordings to enter the charts. It was also the first of eight albums recorded for EMI’s Harvest label. Special guests on the tour were The Strawbs, who had just released their second album, Dragonfly.
The flyer measures 13.2 x 29.1 cm (approx. 5.2″ by 11.5″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Complete with the original postal booking form still intact.
