Laeiszhalle, Hamburg May 2005 concert poster

Original first printing concert poster advertising American jazz pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, and composer Herbie Hancock at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg [Germany] on Thursday, 15th May, 2005, presented by Karsten Jahnke, and with jazz pianist Jacky Terrasson as special guest. Hancock’s touring band featured drummer Terri Lyne Carrington, trumpeter and flugelhornist Roy Hargrove (tp,flh) percussionist Munyungo Jackson, guitarist Lionel Loueke, bassist Marcus Miller, and guitarist Wah Wah Watson. Not long after the European tour had ended, Hancock released Possibilities, his forty-fifth studio album featuring an all-star cast of supporting collaborators, with a different line-up recording together on each of the 10 tracks. Carlos Santana, Paul Simon, Sting, Annie Lennox, Trey Anastasio, John Mayer and Cyro Baptista were among the artists contributing to the project. Released in the United States on 30th August, 2005 by Vector Recordings, Possibilities earned Hancock two nominations at the 2006 Grammy Awards. The poster features artwork credited to Timm Lotz, with the artist’s imprint to the bottom right corner.

The poster measures 59.3 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.3″ by 33″ inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, dull-coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition, clean and unmarked.
